School starts at 8:40. Students are dismissed at 3:35.
Welcome Back! Welcome back to what promises to be a great year for learning at Long School. We have several new faces and new places at Long this year. We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Carla Tennant as the teacher of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Resource Room, Ms. Dail Russell as our new Art teachers and Ms. Olivia Hopson as one of our Vocal Music teachers.

PTA Update Long School PTA is off and running for the new school year. Here are some of our upcoming events:
The theme for this year's PTA Reflections contest is "Wow!" Students may submit a written essay, visual art piece, music composition or video. More details to follow. Please continue to collect Campbell's Soup labels, Box Tops for Education, and empty printer ink cartridges. These items translate into supplies for Long School! |
Lunch Prices Due to rising food costs, school lunch prices will be higher. Lunch- $2.50 Milk- $0.50 Snack prices will also increase. More info will be available soon.

Medication at School We have had many questions regarding administering medication during the school day. Please be aware that we are required to striclty adhere to the following procedure: "All medication must have an authorization form on file which is signed by both parent and physician. This includes Tylenol, Motrin, nasal spray, cough syrup, and other over the counter medicaitons". As always, we appreciate your support. |

Breast Cancer Walk Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Morey will be walking 60 miles in three days to reaise money for Breast Cancer on 9/26-9/28. Mrs. Lee has met her goal, but Mrs. Morey is still in need of donations. If you would like to donate, please see Mrs. Morey.

Back to School Reminders Children may not bring any electronic devices such as iPods, mp3 players or video games to school. We will not be held responsible for their damage or loss. Also, unless directed by the teacher, children do not need to bring any toys to school.
As always, only 4th and 5th graders may ride bikes to school. Bikes must be walked in the school area and placed in the bike rack. Please keep bikes locked during school hours. Skateboards, roller blades and scooters are not permitted as we have no place to store them during the school day. |
