In keeping with this month’s focus of generosity, Long students and staff donated $1 to wear pajamas last Friday. We raised $245 which was used to purchase more pajamas for our donation to Scholastic Book Clubs Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. As a result, Long School was able to donate 70 pairs of pajamas! Thank you to Mrs. Lee and/or Mrs. McShane, who have coordinated this project for several years here at Long. Thank you to everyone for your generosity!
On December 5, Long School welcomed members of the Red Wings school assembly program. The team, led by Coach Ryan, spoke with students about the importance of education and dedication. They also had students and staff actively participating in several hockey related competitions. Along with the insightful messages about working hard, eating healthy and exercising, the club donated a full set of floor hockey equipment to the students of Long School! Thank you and Let’s Go Red Wings!

Long School Recycling Committee wants you to help us keep our environment healthy by remembering the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. The committee met with representatives from Recycle Ann Arbor to learn more about keeping contamination out of our recycling. We learned that paper towel, tissues and plastic bags cannot be recycled as the recycling facility used by Dearborn is not able to process them. More helpful tips to come!
