Today, our fourth and fifth graders enjoyed a special assembly. Dearborn resident and author, Eman Saleh, joined us today. She read her book “The Great Labne Trade” and Chef Danny and Chef Mo shared a treat of pita bread, labne, cucumber and olives for each student to try. A special thank you to everyone who made this event possible. The students enjoyed hearing Ms. Saleh read her book and explain the inspiration behind her story. Chef Danny explained what labne is and how it is made. We have a labne power pack that will be available in the cafeteria too.
