Long Elementary was constructed in 1945 on 8 acres of land.
Under the 2026 transformational bond, Long would be completely renovated. Estimated cost: $13,777,900. Note Long Elementary had air conditioning and new boilers installed a few years ago. For an overview, see the one-page Long flyer.
Phase 1 (Years one to five)
- Secured vestibule/reception
- Restroom renovations
- Technology and furniture upgrades
Phase 3 (Years 10 to 15)
- Major renovations to classrooms, media center, gym, and hallways
- Cafeteria and kitchen upgrades
- Site improvements including parking and playgrounds
- Major mechanical replacement (Long already has air conditioning)
- Building enclosure such as flat roof, windows, doors
- Major electrical replacement
- Major plumbing replacement
