Teachers from Long, Nowlin and Whitmore-Bolles Schools are collaborating with grade level peers to strengthen their use of Content and Language Objectives. Math Workshop

Long School students and teachers use a workshop approach to math in order to provide small group instruction with the teacher and increase student interaction. Students at every level learn to use math tools, stay highly engaged and use the language of math while working collaboratively with peers.     

STEM Middle School Applications Available Jan. 30

Fifth grade students wishing to apply for admission to the STEM Middle School for sixth grade may do so beginning January 30th. Applications will be available online at STEM application The deadline for applications will be March 17, 2017. The STEM Middle School curriculum emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as well as Language Arts.

Wanted: Jars of Peanut Butter and Toys for Tots

Long School is currently collecting jars of peanut butter and unwrapped toys. The peanut butter will be collected through Friday, December 9 and distributed through Dearborn’s Blessings in a Backpack program. We will continue collecting toys until Thursday, December 15th.
